DUTIES, VAT AND CUSTOMS CHARGES:
Shipments to countries outside the European Union are made on DAP terms (Delivered At Place, Incoterms® 2020).
What is already included in the shipping cost
Customs clearance costs (export documentation, administrative handling and the carrier's clearance fees) are already included in the shipping cost shown at the time of the order. You will not receive any request for payment relating to the handling of customs formalities.
What is payable by the recipient
The recipient is responsible for customs duties, import VAT and any other tax or levy applied by the country of destination. These amounts are determined by the local customs authority on the basis of the classification and value of the goods, cannot be foreseen at the time of the order, and are requested directly from the recipient by the carrier or the forwarding agent before delivery.
Customs clearance times
The delivery times shown on this page do not include time spent in customs, which depends solely on the authorities of the country of destination and may range from a few hours to several working days.
Storage and failure to collect
If the shipment is held for reasons attributable to the recipient — non-payment of duties and taxes, incorrect or incomplete address or telephone number, failure to respond to the carrier's contact attempts, repeated absence at the time of delivery, failure to provide the documents required by customs — the carrier applies storage charges calculated per day of storage. These charges are payable by the recipient.
Refusal of goods and return
If the shipment is refused, is not collected within the deadline set by the carrier, or is abandoned at customs, the goods are returned to the sender. In this case the recipient remains responsible for the return transport costs, any storage charges incurred, any re-importation charges and the customs clearance costs already borne. These amounts will be deducted from the refund of the price of the products; if they exceed the value of the order, the difference will be charged to the recipient.
The return of perishable goods, or of goods no longer saleable when they arrive back at the warehouse, does not give rise to any refund.
Distinction from the right of withdrawal
The above concerns shipments that have failed for reasons attributable to the recipient and does not affect the right of withdrawal available to consumers, governed by the Terms and Conditions, which remains exercisable in accordance with the procedures set out therein.
