The Precision Depth Roller is an accessory which, mounted on the rear of the BCS rotary hoe, transforms it into a hybrid and versatile tool that combines the advantages of a rotary harrow for preparing the seedbed, with the ability to chop up and bury weeds and plant residues.

The PDR consists of a roller (which covers the entire working width) and a quick-change lever which allows you to adjust the penetration depth of the cutter knives with extreme precision, minimizing impact on the ground.

By adjusting the PDR to a reduced working depth (up to approximately 5 cm), it is particularly useful for preparing the final seedbed: the cutter knives break up and mix the soil for rapid growth of young roots.

Finally, the roller with holes delicately compacts the top layer of the soil to improve the performance of mechanical seeders and seed germination.

The ability to till at a shallow depth eliminates emerging weeds and creates a mulch that is not contaminated by weed seeds.

By raising the PDR to its maximum setting, it allows the tiller knives to reach a greater depth to break up new soils and to create organically richer soil.
