A modern method of starting electric pumps is to use electronic static starters, generally known as soft starters.

These devices enable users to reduce the hammering and to set the starting time. This allows power to be supplied to the motor very gradually increasing it throughout the procedure to achieve smooth starting, with none of the electrical and mechanical stresses found with direct and star/delta starting.

The control panels STATIC are ideal in the following applications:

• Industrial pumps, booster pumps
• Pumps for rain water, irrigation pumps (submerged or surface pumps)
• Submersible pumps, sewage pumps

GENERAL FEATURES

• Power supply 3~50/60Hz 400V ±10%;
• Auxiliaries contacts and circuits in low voltage;
• Normally open contact for start;
• Normally open contact for minimum level/pressure contact;
• Selector for Auto-Off-Manual (stable) operation;
  • Manual: direct operation without controls;
  • Automatic: operation with control by minimum level/pressure and start;
• Blue led indicating mains supply;
• Green led indicating motor running;
• Red led indicating motor overload;
• Soft starter with the following main controls:
  • Integrated By-Pass;
  • Phase control (R-S);
  • Trimmer for starting ramp (0…20 s);
  • Trimmer for stopping ramp (0…20 s);
  • Trimmer for starting voltage (40…70 %);
  • Fieldbus communication;
• Overload thermal relay internally restorable.
