The HFP hydrocyclone filter is ideal for the initial filtration of water from wells, rivers and lakes with a considerable amount of sand and/or suspended solids. The tangential entry of the water generates a vortex motion with a centrifugal trend which allows the separation of water and heavy particles. The water will come out of the upper mouth of the filter while the heavier sand will fall and accumulate in the tank below. At the base of the cone a TPU protection has been placed to protect it from wear due to the abrasive action of the sand. The sand can be discharged through the ball valve located on the tank.
